八魔

The eight Māras, or destroyers: [lang id =1028]煩惱魔 the

māras of the passions; [lang id =1028]陰魔 the skandha-māras, v. [lang id =1028]五陰; [lang id =1028]死魔 death-māra ; [lang id =1028]他化自在天魔 the māra-king. The above four are ordinarily termed the four māras: the other four are the four Hīnayāna delusions of śrāvakas and pratyekabuddhas, i.e. [lang id =1028]無常 impermanence; [lang id =1028]無樂 joylessness; [lang id =1028]無我 impersonality; [lang id =1028]無淨 impurity; cf. [lang id =1028]八顚倒 .
